Several Settlers

When I was looking for links for Settlers of Catan, I found that there are quite a few variants; some for different age groups, some for larger groups, and so on.  One of the interesting things is a pre-07 adapter kit that provides a frame for the hex pieces.  Another interesting thing is the dice game that one can play by oneself.  And the last interesting one I’m going to mention (even though it’s not the only other interesting one) is the portable edition; it’s plastic and has pieces that lock in place.

Happy Belated Birthday Tetris!

Yesterday Tetris turned a quarter century.  Google even had a special tetrisized logo just for it.  I grew up playing Tetris on the Game Boy, and I was moderately good at it.  Then I didn’t play for a long time.  Awhile ago I dug up a copy and started playing off and on again, but mostly off.  When I heard that the game was turning 25, I dug it out again and played.  I actually played well enough on my first try to get a rocket, so that was fun.

Anyway, celebrate by playing Tetris.
