I heard about Good Riddance Day on the news and thought it was a good idea.  Just like people make resolutions at the beginning of the year, it’s a complementary idea to let go of things at the end of it.  I think it sounds like a fun idea even though it was only held in Times Square.

November is now Movember, a month devoted to men’s health issues.  To raise awareness, men are supposed to grow their mustaches for the entire month of November Movember.

Bubble Wrap

It’s Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day.  I think the most interesting thing I learned about it was that it was originally invented as a textured wallpaper.  And it is fun to pop, so as Weird Al would say, “pop, pop, hope no one sees me getting freaky“.

Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.   Here are a few places to learn how to talk like a pirate; and, if you want to, you could search for even more.  I think my favorite piratey word just might be  ‘bung hole’, the hole in a wooden barrel.
