It says “pray continually”,
But how can one do that?
Can one get down on one’s knees,
Head bent, hands folded,
And fervently pray 24/7?
Or must one have an open heart?
Must one be prayerful in attitude
And be ready to turn to God at a moment’s notice?
And which would really be easier?

On Preaching Hate
There are people who like to say that punishment is God’s retribution; but those people seem to forget that people have been persecuted in Jesus’ name, and other things of that nature. I could add that the meek shall inherit the earth, but that seems to me to be less of an argument than it could be.
Anyway, my main point is that those who preach hate don’t preach God. God is love, and I don’t mean that namby-pamby can-do-no-wrong kind of thing. God doesn’t approve of sin, but he still loves those who sin (and all of us have sinned). A lot of people seem to forget that.

Proverbs 13:11
A while back, I read this proverb:
Dishonest money dwindles away,
but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.
The first thing I thought about was get-rich-quick-schemes. Too many people try to get something for nothing, and this verse could apply to that kind of thing.
