NaNoWriMo is here again, and, of course, I’m participating. Day 1 I wrote 1713; day 2 I got to 3439, day 3 I got to 5113, day 4 I got to 6825, day 5 I got to 8507, and day 6 I got to 10200. Interestingly, Devo Spice is participating this year; I wish him good luck.
In other news, there was an earthquake in Oklahoma last night that was big enough that I felt it at about 10:55. I thought it was just a wind gust at first, even though it was rather sustained for that.
In still other news, on the local news they did a special on one of a kind towns in Kansas, and they asked people to write on Facebook what makes their town one of a kind. Well, I don’t have a Facebook account, and I would have felt almost as compelled to write about other towns I’ve been to as the one I live in now. And, besides, if they wanted to find what made any one town ‘unique’ they could just go to that town’s Wikipedia page and look for something. Now, I know that not every town will have much more than a stub, in which case uniqueness would be hard to find, or, if the town’s small enough, it may not have a page at all (I don’t know what they consider relevant or notable).
