In The Gutters

The Gutters just celebrated a milestone.  And in their fashion they did it up with a parody.  What I like about The Gutters is that they take the silly things in the comic industry and show how ridiculous they are.  I also like the fact that they are showcasing all kinds of artists, from well established artists to newcomers.

Shot Through The Heart

This comic reminded me of this song.  I don’t know that it’s fair to Robyn, but the imagery was just that strong and so perfectly suggests that song.

Colorful Playing Cards

The creator of Red String made a really elaborate and well-crafted deck of playing cards based on her characters.  The pictures look amazing, and I even like the design on the back of them; and the fact that each card has a unique design shows a dedication that I find admirable.

Awesome Beard

Dueling Analogs recommends this t-shirt, and I thought it was neat enough to pass along.  Everyone may not agree that beards are awesome (and stubble is right out), but it is a fun sentiment.

No Nize* Hat :(

Girl Genius has a collection of scents for sale.  Most of them are fairly manly:  all three Jägers with their Das Boys collection and their Nize Hat*, Madboy, and The Baron (“powerfully masculine”).  But there is also the Pirate Queen, on duty and off.  And there is even one called The Nuremburg Pudding Incident, which sounds like it will smell like dessert, and who doesn’t want to smell like food.  Sadly, the Nize Hat temporarily out of stock, so the collected works aren’t going to be complete.  They come in full bottle sized, and something called squees.  I like the squees collection because it’s sample sized.

Some More Adorable Plushies

CAD also has some new plushies, a big Zeke plushie and a Death doll (I like that alliteration). But, some people might be afraid to touch the Death one lest it kill them.  ;D

Adorable Bunny Combo

LFG is selling a bunny/Lil Richard combo (or separately, if you wish).  Right now, they are just on pre-order, and will be for some time it seems, but I think they are adorable enough to mention even now.

Webcomic Cookbook

I recently read about a webcomic cookbook and thought the idea was great.  And the fact that the proceeds go to food banks is a bonus.

Newb or N00B

I’ve been reading through the CAD archive and ran across this again.  I love this explanation; some people are newbies simply because they haven’t played the game, but N00Bs pretend like they know what their doing and ruin it for the others playing.

No More Afterstrife

Afterstrife by Ali Graham, is one of the comics of follow online, but it’s come to an end.  It’s an interesting story that follows tha adventures of two teenagers after their unfortunate deaths; and their struggle to gain redemption.  And, even though it’s over, I would like to encourage people to check it out.  In fact, now that it’s been completed, it would be a good one for people who want to be able to read a story in a single sitting.
